Role Purpose
The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with MDT colleagues providing services to children from 0-18 years and families who are accessing the Children's Disability Network Team.
The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a speech and language therapy service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention including involvement in the FEDs service and contributing to ongoing service delivery to children with complex needs and their families.
The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will take a lead role in key areas of service development, reporting to the CDNT manager. Professional clinical supervision will be provided.
The ability to manage and prioritise a busy caseload, and work in an inter-disciplinary way using a family centered practice approach are also keys requirements of the role.

Role requirements
Essential Criteria
- Hold a qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved by the Speech and Language Therapy Registration Board at CORU.
- Practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech and Language Therapy Register maintained by the Speech and Language Therapy Registration Board at CORU.
- Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification clinical experience.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of the inter-disciplinary team working service delivery planning and development is an advantage.
- Experience working with children or adults with complex communication needs is an advantage.
- Experience of working in the area of disabilities is an advantage.
- Experience working with paediatric clients presenting with dysphagia is an advantaged.
Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales. Salary Scale is Senior Speech and Language Therapist €63,279-€74,509 per annum incl LSI per annum pro-rata.
