The Organisation
Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities.
We support people with a wide range of support needs across residential settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and vocational training.
Purpose of the Post
The successful Informatics Nurse will be a valued member of our Stewarts nursing team and will lead and support ongoing operation of the Eclipse (Electronic Patient Record) system while also contributing to the overall digital health initiatives across the service.
The post holder will combine clinical expertise and informatics knowledge to ensure the system enhances care, improves outcomes, improves user experience and comply with health, safety and regulatory standards.
The Person
· Must be currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) in the RNID Division.
· Applications are also welcome from nurses registered with the NMBI who have a minimum of three years’ experience in the area of Intellectual Disability.
· Postgraduate education in Health Informatics or Information Technology is desirable; candidates must be willing to complete this if not already obtained.
· Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
· A strong command of the English language (both written and verbal) is essential, as is eligibility to work in Ireland.
· Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and data analytics is required.
Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales: Enhanced Nurse Pay Scale [2290] €59,421 per annum.
